Sukhi Bhaji Recipe

Sukhi Bhaji is a seasoned potatoes dish made specifically for fasting. Boiled potatoes are mixed with green chilies and spices. Serve with farali poori.

Method:

  1. Heat a non stick pan over medium heat, add oil.
  2. Add cumin seeds and wait until they crackle.
  3. Next add curry leaves and chopped green chilies, stir for a second.
  4. Add ushed peanuts, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander-cumin powder, c mix well.
  5. Add potatoes, black pepper powder, lemon juice, salt and sugar, mix well and cook for 2 minutes, turn off the heat.
  6. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot with farali poori.

Ingredients

  • 3 Medium Sized Potatoes, boiled, peeled and cubed
  • 2 Green Chilies, finely chopped
  • 4 to 5 Curry Leaves
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 Teaspoon Sugar
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Black Pepper Powder
  • 2 Tablespoons Oil
  • Salt to Taste
  • To Garnish:
  • 1 Tablespoon Cilantro (Coriander Leaves), chopped
