Creamy Pasta Primavera Recipe

Farfalle pasta is combined with green bell pepper, broccoli, sun-dried tomatoes and fresh basil in a creamy cheese sauce. Creamy pasta primavera is easy to prepare and makes a satisfying one-bowl meal.

Method for Cheese Sauce:

  1. Heat heavy bottom pan on low heat, add butter.
  2. Melt butter then add all-purpose flour, cook on low heat for 2 minutes, stirring continuously.
  3. Add the milk gradually while stirring continuously, so that no lumps form.
  4. Bring it to a boil, add cheese and salt, mix well.
  5. Cook for 1 minute, turn off the heat and keep aside.

Method for Creamy Pasta Primavera:

  1. Cook pasta as per instructions on the box and keep aside.
  2. Heat a large pan on medium heat, add olive oil.
  3. Add chopped basil, stir for few seconds.
  4. Add chopped sun dried tomatoes, green bell pepper and broccoli, stir fry for 3 to 4 minutes until broccoli is tender and crisp.
  5. Add cooked pasta, cheese sauce, red chili flakes and salt, mix well.
  6. Cook for 1 minute, turn off the heat.
  7. Serve Creamy Pasta Primavera with a salad and Cheese Bread.

Ingredients

  • For Creamy Pasta Primavera:
  • 1/2 package Farfalle Pasta
  • 1/4 Cup Sun Dried Tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/4 Cup Green Bell Pepper (Capsicum), sliced
  • 1/2 Cup Broccoli, medium florets
  • 4 Tablespoons Fresh Basil Leaves, chopped
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1/2 Red Chili Flakes
  • Salt to Taste
  • For Cheese Sauce:
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter
  • 1 Tablespoon All-Purpose Flour (Maida)
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 3 Slices of Cheese
  • Salt to Taste
