Spinach Corn Rice Recipe

Spinach-Corn Rice is a nutritious and easy to make recipe. This simple and quick rice can be accompanied with yogurt or raita to make it a complete meal.


  1. Heat oil in deep nonstick pan on medium heat.
  2. Add all the Cumin seeds wait until it crackles.
  3. Add cinnamon stick, cloves, green chili, ginger-garlic paste and roast for a minute.
  4. Add onions and cook till onions become translucent.
  5. Add 2-3 tablespoons of water to prevent onions from burning.
  6. Add the chopped Spinach and corn and cook for 4-5 minutes, while spinach is gets wilted and corn is roasted.
  7. Add rice and salt and mix well.
  8. Serve hot accompanied with yogurt or raita.


  • 2 Cups Rice, cooked
  • 2 Cups Spinach, chopped
  • 1 Cup Corn
  • 1 Cup Onion,chopped
  • 1 Teaspoon Ginger-Garlic, paste
  • 1 Green Chili, chopped
  • 3 Tablespoon Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • 1/2 Stick Cinnamon
  • 3 Cloves
  • Salt to Taste
