Hakka Noodles Recipe
Serves 4 people

Hakka Noodles is a delicious vegetarian Indian influenced Chinese dish. The vegetables and noodles are stir fried together in a hot, sweet and sour sauce makes a perfect main course.

Method:

  1. Cook hakka noodles as per instructions on the box and keep aside.
  2. Heat a large non stick pan on medium high heat, add oil.
  3. Add cabbage, carrot, red and green bell pepper stir fry for 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Add noodles, tomato ketchup, red chili sauce, soya sauce, sugar and salt.
  5. Mix well and stir fry for 1 minute.
  6. Serve hot, Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 packet Hakka Noodles
  • 1/4 Cup Cabbage, shredded
  • 1/4 Cup Carrot, julienned
  • 2 Tablespoons Red Bell Pepper (Red Capsicum), thinly sliced
  • 2 Tablespoons Green Bell Pepper (Green Capsicum), thinly sliced
  • 1 Tablespoon Red Chili Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Tomato Ketchup
  • 1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 Teaspoon Sugar
  • Salt to Taste
  • 3 Tablespoons Oil

  2. Delicious! So tasty and scrumptious. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful dish. We included much more cabbage, along with scallions and, as a garnish, peanuts. We also mixed up the sauce before adding it. And, because we had no red chili sauce, we substituted one-third as much of Thai Kitchen Red Curry Paste, which is vegan.
