Farali Vada is simply delicious. It is a farali version of famous Gujarati snack Bajri Vada. Very easy to make and can stay fresh for quite a long time. Farali vada is an ideal snack during fasting days.

Method:

  1. In a big bowl, mix together all the ingredients and make dough a bit harder than chapati dough.
  2. Keep it aside for about 1 hour.
  3. Divide dough in 20 equal parts, make it into balls.
  4. With greased hands pat the balls to make small flat patties.
  5. Heat oil in frying on a medium heat.
  6. Deep fry the flatten dough until golden brown.
  7. Drain on paper napkin.
  8. Serve farali vada hot with Cilantro Chutney or cold with hot cup of tea.
  9. Store in air tight container upto 8 to 10 days.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Rajgira Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Singhara Flour
  • 1/4 Cup Samo Powder (Moraiyo Flour / Varyache Tandul/ Vari Tandool)
  • 1/4 Cup Plain Yogurt
  • 1 Tablespoon Ginger, grated
  • 1 Green Chili, chopped
  • 1 Tablespoon Sesame Seeds
  • 1 Teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Powder
  • 2 Tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Oil
  • Salt to Taste
  • Oil for Deep Frying
